Agriturismo

The warmth of the old coupled with modern comforts.
Villa Gradoni, an enchanting example of slow tourism.

Not as if you were traveling, but at home, if only just for a bit. This is how you’ll feel at “Villa Gradoni,” an inviting agriturismo in the heart of Franciacorta, just a short distance from Lake Iseo.
Villa Gradoni is located in Borgo Villa, a hamlet dating to the XVI Century that has been transformed into a prestigious agriturismo.

Wandering the narrow medieval cobblestone streets and exploring the luxurious vineyards leads to one discovery after another: loggias, porticoes, windowsills with flower boxes, panoramas.
Villa Gradoni was born of a slow, gradual restoration of the kind that can only come from a love of the land and of history. Everything was brought back to life in Borgo Villa, a small hamlet in the Comune of Monticelli Brusati, while preserving the spirit that has distinguished it for centuries.

The “Villa Gradoni” Agriturismo is named after Villa Gradoni, a wine made from grapes from the terraced vineyard on the flank of the Colle Madonnona della Rosa, overlooking the winery buildings. The Borgo, which has been restructured following local architectural traditions, using the materials employed in the traditional homes, has a “horizontal” layout, with apartments and work areas located in different, but closely spaced buildings.

It allows visitors to enjoy all the comforts of a modern residential complex (dining, pool, playground for children, barbecue, fishing pond, self-service bar, laundry facilities, free bicycles and WI-FI). The welcoming walls of the Villa Gradoni Agriturismo host 21 apartments (all different), 10 double and 11 triple occupancy: each apartment is completely autonomous with regards to cooking and facilities.

The complex is further enriched by the “Borgo del Benessere,” a perfect place for guests of the Agriturismo, or those simply passing through, to forget about the daily grind and dedicate a few hours to themselves. Tiziana Belleri, expert practitioner of shiatsu and the ayurvedic techniques, welcomes guests to the new wellness center, with the assistance of a physician who also has many years of experience with Oriental medicine, phytotherapy, and dietology.

The favorable location of the hamlet allows guests to quickly and easily reach a number of cities, including Bergamo, Brescia, Mantova, Milan, Verona, and Venice. Guests can therefore make day trips for business or pleasure, and also enjoy moments of peace and tranquility.

Franciacorta and Lago D’Iseo have much to offer sporting enthusiasts, including golf, tennis, horse riding, spas, and more. Villa also offers guests who stay at the Agriturismo for at least seven days a guided tour of the cellars, followed by a tasting of the estate’s renowned wines.

Entering the ancient hamlet marks the beginning of a journey involving all the senses. Here at Villa Gradoni, far from the background noise of the cities, touch, smell, taste, vision and hearing are all stimulated and reawakened.

The views of the green hills embracing the hamlet, almost as if they wanted to protect it from overly hurried, uncaring visitors, bring a feeling of calm. The colors range continuously from green to yellow to the most intense reds in the months in which the hills leave space to warm autumn days.

Hearing, which is overwhelmed by the unending noise of day-to-day life, recovers thanks to the discovery of silence, the rustle of the breezes, the songs of the birds in flight, and the forgotten sounds from past epochs.

The senses of smell and taste discover an infinite variety of subtle shadings in the wines from the cellars, with the assistance of the delicious dishes prepared by the Ristorante il Borgo in Franciacorta.

The sense of touch, reawakened by masterful hands at the Borgo del Benessere, brings serenity and calm, thus crowning the entire range of the five senses.
These ingredients make a stay at Villa Gradoni a true vacation for both body and mind.

At Villa Gradoni, one feels welcome, well, and relaxed from the moment of arrival.

A second home where one can feel free and unconstrained. Because a home is not just a roof under which to dwell, but brings to mind positive feelings, serenity, the desire to share pleasures, a relaxed approach to personal affections, a frame that heightens and gives meaning to moments of joy
Roberta B.
